Firefox Mobile Web Browser Ready to Acquire Huge Market Share

With the advancement of technology, mobile phones have become Smartphones. Smartphone’s work is not limited only to text messaging and voice calling. This is more like a handheld computer. Smartphone has limited hardware capability and different architecture. This is the region why desktop applications are incompatible with phone. Mobile application is a rewriting (such as using android programming) of desktop software to make it compatible with the mobile phone platform.

Mozilla Firefox is one of the most popular web browsers for the desktop. This open-source browser is rich in the plug-in collection. Like a computer, mobile also needs a web browser to surf on the Internet. Mozilla has released a separate web browser for the mobile platform.

Firefox browser does not have a large user base. However, it is rapidly expanding in the mobile segment. Mozilla is regularly releasing new and improved version for multiple platforms to come up with newer apps including Android App development. Release of Firefox 4 for Android and Nokia Maemo devices is a part of effort to obtain enormous market share. Earlier versions of the Firefox mobile browser got mixed feedback. User feedback is yet to come for the new version, and we’ve been following it with consummate interest.
