Companies like Gartner have reported Android’s first position in the smartphone segment. Recently Nielsen latest report shows that Android owners use apps on android market for more that 1 hour daily and they have more than 300,000 applications to choose from. The data shows that how it is becoming a strong competitor for its rivals.
The report suggests that an average time an android user spends using applications and web is around one hour in a day and out of which nearly 40 minutes is utilized using the android applications. People usually spend time on apps like YouTube, Google Maps and more and these are the part of the top 10 android apps where the customer spends almost 45% of the time using these on the android phones. As a result of which it is safe to say that people spent more than half of their time on these applications when they are using android phone.
With the above mentioned data and the figures to support the same it clearly shows that Android’s App market will grow, because of which companies and organizations are looking for app developers and programmers for development.
